Miles from Nowhere

The name Miles from Nowhere not only alludes to the geographic remoteness of the estate's vineyard, but also in recognition of the forebears of the estate's founderswho arrived in Australia some 100 years ago from Ukraine, bewildered by what they were confronted with in their new home country, and feeling every bit 'Miles from Nowhere'.

Franklin & Heather Tate turned their attention to their favourite vineyard in 2001. Eager to capture the unique and truly special terroir of Margaret River, they were convinced that their Miamup Vineyard was the perfect place to make it happen.

Miles from Nowhere believe in letting time stand still… just long enough to enjoy a great wine with friends, but also to allow the best varietals of this world-class Margaret River wine region express themselves.
