Goundrey
Goundrey was established in the early 1970s and began production in 1976 with the advent of the first wine. The business rapidly expanded during the 1980s, allowing Goundrey to reinvest in bigger production facilities and cellar door amenities. The vineyards were established in Mount Barker, in southern Western Australia, with a focus on varieties including Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier. Modern technique and clean winemaking highlight the Goundrey wines. Though vineyard site is key, the large scale operation manages to maintain the fruit integrity from vineyard to the bottle.
